State Senate President Bill Ferguson invited BOOST students and families to join him at a March 31 press conference to highlight his support of education funding, including continued funding of BOOST scholarships, which had been at risk during state budget negotiations. The General Assembly submitted a budget with $9 million in BOOST scholarship funds and additional funds for nursing and health needs at BOOST schools.
